Vehicle Requirements
- Surfaces easily cleanable
- Cannot transport other types of waste in same vehicle
- DOT #, Address, Phone no., Biohazard symbol signage
- Must be delivered to waste facility within 4 hours of loading on truck
- ADEM Permit No. decal, name and address, biohazard universal symbol signage on truck
Manifest Requirements
- Contains permit number, hauler name, hauler address, and disposal facility information
- Lists number of boxes, serial number, and weights, dates removed from generator site and date delivered to disposal site
- Signed by hauler and disposal facility
- Records kept for 3 years
Storage Requirements
- Air conditioned to 45 degrees F if stored more than 7 days, unless the generator generates less than 220 lbs of waste per month
- Area must be secured from unauthorized personnel (sufficient if warehouse is kept locked at all times)
- Area must be kept clean and free of rodents and insects
- Biohazard caution symbol must be placed near storage space
