Aftermath Goes North for the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association Mid-Winter Conference
Last week, Aftermath took a trip north to the Wisconsin Dells Kalahari Resort to join the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association for their annual Mid-Winter Conference. Serving the LE community of Wisconsin since 1907, WCPA is comprised of over 600 law enforcement executives from throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Aftermath was the only biohazard cleanup company in attendance at the conference this year. Making the trip was Aftermath’s Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations in the Midwest, Patrick Leone.
“It was a great event for us,” Patrick stated following the convention. “Aftermath has been attending for several years, but it was my first chance to visit myself. I had great conversations with Chiefs and command staff. Everyone was very friendly and receptive to learning more about crime cleanup services. They were especially appreciative of Aftermath’s efforts to assist LE by awarding grants and hosting contests to involve both the officers and the community.”
Keeping with the tradition, Aftermath awarded two prizes at the WCPA conference. Chief Josh Jerry of the Shullsburg Police Department and Chief Jim Monahan of Hazel Green Police Department both received 5.11 tactical bags with PPE kits. Congratulations, Chiefs!
The Chiefs also showed their own appreciation for the vendors by hosting a Vendors Night with dinner, drinks, and raffles. Special guests included The World’s Funniest Cop, Michael Malcini, who is both a comedian and a police officer from California. Also in attendance was Bob Froese, former NHL Philadelphia Flyers goalie.
Aftermath Cares About LE
First Responders know that training is key to keeping safe in any situation. Aftermath is dedicated to doing their part, by helping to provide officers with access to critical equipment and safety education. For this reason, Aftermath is introducing the Aftermath Safety & Training Contest. Starting next week (2/25/19), officers and law enforcement agencies may enter to win one of hundreds of PPE kits. In addition, 6 agencies will receive grant funds to help them with their safety and training programs.
