Law Enforcement: Time to Suit Up! Get Ready for the Spring PPE Giveaway
Are you a police officer or other law enforcement agent? If so, get ready to spring to action with our first giveaway of 2017, our annual Spring PPE Giveaway!
Being a first responder is dangerous enough without having to worry about the risks of bloodborne pathogens. As experts in biohazard cleanup, Aftermath understands your concerns. Beginning March 1st, you’ll have a chance to win your own PPE kit, including suit, mask, gloves, goggles, and more. It’s one way we show our appreciation for the hard work that you do.
And to make this year even better, we’ve more than doubled the number of PPE kits we’re giving away. All told, over 250 PPE kits and 5 Grand Prizes will be awarded to members of law enforcement. The Spring PPE Giveaway page is already live, so bookmark it now and enter every day until April 1st! Read on to find out more:

From fighting fires to dealing with hazardous chemicals, there are many forms of PPE. When it comes to ensuring safety around biohazards, Aftermath technicians are equipped with the best PPE available for the task. We want to pass on this same type of safety to you.
According to OSHA, “Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms present in blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus that causes AIDS. Workers exposed to bloodborne pathogens are at risk for serious or life-threatening illnesses.”
In the past 4 years, Aftermath has given away hundreds of PPE kits to police and first responders throughout the country. Because of it’s disposable nature, numerous departments have told Aftermath that PPE is something they truly need; winners often put their kits in their cruisers, so that they are ready for any biohazard situation. Last year, one winner stated that he had to use his kit almost immediately after receiving it. Jokingly, he said he didn’t even have time to enjoy winning before he needed it!
