Stopping by the 37th Annual MOCIC Conference and Training Session
Last week, the Radisson in Green Bay played host to a large gathering of Wisconsin law officers. These trained professionals are all part of the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center, which serves Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, as well as parts of Canada. Over 275 guests, including detectives and other law enforcement officers, attended.
This was Aftermath’s second year at the MOCIC Conference and Training Session. Tony Cusinato, Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations, was on hand to represent Aftermath in the vendor’s hall. “The organizers were especially nice and continued to check in with us throughout the conference,” Tony stated. “The vendor hall was arranged to have plenty of exposure; attendees passed through the area in order to get to their workshops and training seminars.” The show is in its 37th year.
At the booth, Tony distributed literature and answered questions about company services and coverage. He also gave away pens, notepads, airfresheners, and several great prizes. Detective Paul Klang of Lafayette County in Southern Wisconsin won the table prize, a PPE kit and tactical bag from 5.11 Tactical.
Networking opportunities included a hospitality area, as well as services and vendor’s areas. The conference center was connected to Oneida Casino where guests could take a break and enjoy games and entertainment in the off hours. Attendees also visited the home of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field, where they toured the facilities and enjoyed dinner and drinks. They were even visited by Mayberry’s favorite deputy, Barney Fife.
