Aftermath Arizona Visits the AACOP Conference in Laughin, NV
Last week, Aftermath had the pleasure of attending the Laughlin Training and Vendor Expo, hosted by the Arizona Association of Chiefs of Police (AACOP). The conference was held at the Edgewater Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, NV; AMS was a Bronze level sponsor. Rolando Barrientez, Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations brought his warm smile and over 20 years of public service experience, enabling him to connect to the officers. It was the first time that AMS attended the event, and it was also the first time in many years that the company promoted within the state. This event occurred concurrently with the opening of the newest AMS office, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The show was small in size, and attendees ranged from sergeants to lieutenants and higher. Rolando met several chiefs and unit commanders. These officers are the decision makers for their agencies and the hardest to reach. The event allowed him to directly speak with them and answer their questions. Many chiefs were accompanied by their spouses who also stopped by the booth. They were very curious about biohazard remediation, which led to many questions about partnerships, cost, location, and how the assessment and price quote process works.
To draw others to the booth, Aftermath passed out water bottles and coffee mugs, pens, carabiners, note pads, padded note pads, magnets and brochures. There was also a raffle for a PPE kit. The winner was Thomas E. Kelly, Chief of Police with the Apache Junction Police Department. Additionally, Rolando gave away an Aftermath long sleeve golf pull over as part of the Vendor Raffle giveaway. When the attendees were not at the conference they were able to unwind with Vegas-style activities, including fine dining, card games, and slot machines.
