Recapping the 2016 Midwest Security and Police Expo

Last week, Aftermath attended the 16th Annual Midwest Security and Police Expo in Tinley Park, IL. Sponsored by the Illinois Chiefs of Police Association, This event is the only trade show of its kind in the Midwest, showcasing the latest state-of-the-art security and law enforcement products, technologies, and services. Additionally, experts from local, state and national agencies, along with professionals in security and law enforcement, shared their vision and expertise in numerous informational sessions. The conference was free and open to public and private law enforcement, public safety officials, and private security professionals.

Aftermath has been a regular vendor at MSPCE for the past several years. Attending this year were Tony Cusinato, Sr. Manager of Law Enforcement Relations and Stephen Brown, Aftermath’s National Director of Business Development. Tony is responsible for law enforcement outreach to the Great Lakes region which includes Illinois. According to Tony, the show was well attended and the overall reception was very positive. “Many of the Chiefs and other law enforcement personnel are familiar with our services and appreciate the work we do.”

The team experienced many positive interactions with Law Enforcement personnel from across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. The conference is popular with many participants because of it’s location. The majority of attendees live close enough to return home for the evening, or attend at least part of the event, even if they are working. Of those we spoke with, many conference goers were already familiar with Aftermath, and thanked Tony and Stephen for serving their communities. While at the conference, the team raffled off a 5-11 tactical Bag with a PPE kit to one lucky winner. Congratulations again to Chief Shawn Beane of Pingree Grove Police Department!

“It was an honor for us to show our support for police departments throughout Illinois,” Tony said. “We greatly appreciate the commitment and service that those in Law Enforcement make for the their citizens and that is why it was important for us to show our support as an exhibitor at this conference.”
