At Aftermath, we care about the communities where we live and work. We’re concerned about the safety of the people in those communities, and we believe that assisting them goes beyond providing reliable and efficient cleanup services. As an industry leader, we feel it is our responsibility to educate the public on subjects we specialize in, like health and safety. This year, Aftermath focused on three core pillars – community, safety, and education – and implemented a variety of programs to reflect this approach.
Spotlight: Colorado
Colorado is just one of the states we service, and one of the many locations where these pillars have been put into practice. As a local company, our technicians live and work in the community. This year, law enforcement agents from Colorado enthusiastically participated in both our K9 Contest and Spring PPE Giveaway. Joining their co-workers nationwide, Aftermath technicians also took part in numerous community-wide events, including Red Nose Day in May and National Night Out.
Whether you own or rent your home, or own a business, Aftermath is familiar with the problems you face – from crime scene cleaning to hoarding cleanup, as well as biohazard remediation and communicable disease cleanup. We work hand in hand with law enforcement agencies and other groups to provide additional care and referrals to our clients, as needed. Just take a look at what some of our Colorado customers are saying about our services. While you’re reading, also check out the case studies on the local pages to get an idea of the work we’re doing in your neighborhood. We routinely perform work in Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins, as well as other cities throughout the state and neighboring states as well.
The State of Colorado Biohazard Cleanup
Last year, the flu season in Colorado was rather severe. A particular strain that circulated, called H3N2, is known to hit the elderly population rather hard. According to the Census Bureau, over 12% of the state’s population is over the age of 65, which accounts for some of the increase in cases. Fortunately, this year’s flu season is off to a slower start. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared! Aftermath routinely shares health tips and other valuable information on this blog and in social media, including Facebook and Twitter. Like our pages to stay connected.
Other serious viral illnesses, like MRSA and C. diff, have decreased in Colorado over the last two years. However, nationwide recalls and foodborne illness scares still leave cause for concern. A recent outbreak of salmonella, linked to cucumbers, affected 35 states, including 18 people in Colorado.
Biohazard cleanup is just one of our services. We work with some of the largest companies in the world, and we offer discount programs for ongoing contracts and proactive sanitizing services. We are fully licensed, insured, and certified, as well as trained in industrial “lock out tag out” protocols. Colorado businesses
We’re Serious About Safety
Colorado communities are important to our business. One way we show our support is by helping protect those who help you. Each year we sponsor contests like the Annual K9 Grant, hosted in October, and our PPE Giveaway, going on right now. This contest is open to all Law Enforcement Officials, Coroners, and Medical Examiners in the states of CO, IN, MI, MN, OH, and WI. The drawing is open from December 4th until December 31st, 2015. Winners are chosen at random. One Grand Prize winners will receive a 5.11 tactical bag, in addition to PPE kits. 25 winners will get the kits. Visit the contest website to learn more. If you’re a law enforcement officer in one of the above mentioned states, don’t forget to enter!
