Attending the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Training Conference

What a whirlwind of conferences these past few weeks! We’re just now getting caught up with all the thank yous and recaps. It’s been a fantastic month, and we’re looking forward to even more events in the coming days. Read on to learn more about the ILACP Conference in Oak Brook, and be sure to look for the Aftermath booth at your next show!

Last month, Aftermath joined the Illinois Association for Chiefs of Police (ILACP) for their Annual Training Conference & Installation of OfficersAs in years past, the conference was hosted at Hamburger University in Oak Brook, IL. Attending the event was Aftermath’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Sales, Stephen Brown.

Networking at the ILACP Conference

The conference format focused on breakout sessions and workshops; there was also an awards banquet and member’s meeting. Attendees were excited to learn about the different topics facing law enforcement; when not attending sessions, there were plenty of networking opportunities for both guests and vendors.

The conference also featured a great lunch program on the last day which included a presentation by the Special Olympics of Illinois, a charity near and dear to many officers. The highlight was guest speaker April Papke, Special Olympics athlete and Global Messenger. April shared an inspirational story about her involvement with the Special Olympics and the positive impact the organization has had on her life.

Aftermath Delivers

As always, Aftermath came prepared with a few giveaways. In addition to chapstick, air fresheners, and waterbottles, the company also gave away a 5.11 tactical bag with PPE kit. The winner was Chief Jan Bowsher of the Pawnee Police Department.

Stephen described the conference experience as engaging and worthwhile: “The key message that attendees took away from visiting our booth was that we are well known in Illinois. While most departments are familiar with us, it was a great opportunity to highlight the opening of our St. Louis area shop that now services southern Illinois with a quick response time.”

From the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and Beyond

Aftermath is proud to show support for members of law enforcement, nationwide and in our home state of Illinois. Our network of offices is equally accessible, with trained teams of technicians helping families coast to coast, 24/7.

If you’re looking to find us at a conference in the coming weeks, we’re all set for events in Kansas and Washington State. Planning ahead, we will be visiting Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Indiana later this month. Connect with us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @Aftermath90 for regular updates!
