Aftermath & 2018 Missouri Sheriff’s Association Conference

The Ozarks played host to some of Missouri state’s hardest working members of law enforcement last week as the Missouri Sheriff’s Association (MSA) Conference was once again held at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO. Over 150 sheriffs, undersheriffs, and other law enforcement professionals visited during the three-day event. Representing Aftermath this year was Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations in the Midwest Region, Patrick Leone.

Hard Work and Games Go Hand-in-Hand at MSA

In order to encourage conference goers to visit the vendor booths, MSA sponsors a passport game every year, where participants receive a “stamp” from each vendor as they walk through the hall. Though it makes visiting fun, conference goers take the opportunity seriously.  Patrick relates: “The sheriffs really made an effort to have meaningful interactions with the vendors, and this is one of the reasons why this conference is so successful. One of the sheriff’s wives even expressed an interest in having a cleanup performed.”

Many sheriffs asked questions and took brochures and other information. Most of the attendees were already familiar with the company, and some even asked after Tony Cusinato, the Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations who attended the event in years previously. Happily, Patrick reassured them that Tony is still with the company and enjoying life and his new territory out west.

Great Prizes, Great Fun

In addition to the vendor passport, the sheriffs also enjoyed the many free giveaways. Patrick had Aftermath merchandise on hand for conference goers to add to their swag bags, plus helpful information and brochures. He also awarded two 5.11 Tactical bags with PPE Kits. The table prize winner was Chief Deputy Kasey Keesaman of the Dekalb County Missouri Sheriffs Office, while the door prize was awarded at the end of the show. Those who didn’t win at the event were encouraged to enter the Spring PPE Giveaway, going on now through 3/31.
