Aftermath Visits Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association Conference
Last month, the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association (PCPA) gathered for their 105th Annual Education & Training Conference at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Mt. Pocono, PA. Though Aftermath has attended the conference for over a decade, this was the first year the event was held at this particular location and many great changes were made.
The number of visitors at this year’s event held strong; over 150 chiefs, lieutenants, detectives, and other law enforcement professionals visited to network with fellow officers and vendors, and to attend educational programs and training. John Tyler of CSCU, and Tina Bao, Aftermath’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, represented the Aftermath in the vendor’s hall.
Giveaways and Conversation at the Aftermath Booth
“It was a great event, as always,” John reported. “We received a lot of positive response from those who visited the booth, and the evening vendor’s reception allowed us to sit down and talk to chiefs and others in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.” Many attendees recognized John, who is well-known because of his work with CSCU; others were familiar with the Aftermath or CSCU brand name.
While some stopped by to talk about their own experiences with the company or to learn more about crime scene cleanup, others were drawn in by Aftermath’s well-known giveaways: “Attendees who stopped by really appreciated the giveaways we had this year,” said Tina. “Our notepads were a big hit.” Tina also spoke with Chief Cunningham of Elizabethtown Police Department. As the newly appointed Chief, Cunningham expressed a concern about the safety of his officers and spoke of a need for PPE kits. Tina arranged a donation of 5 kits to help him with his efforts.
Tina and John also raffled off a 5.11 Tactical Bag and PPE kit. The winner was Lt. Steven Williams (pictured) of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department. Congratulations, Steven!
An Avid Supporter of Law Enforcement
Aftermath would like to thank all the participants at PCPA who made time between discussion sessions and training to stop by and talk to Tina and John. “It’s always great to have an opportunity to speak directly with those who are making a big difference in our communities,” said Tina. “We meet so many amazing people, and we love listening to their stories and learning how we can assist them better.”
Moreover, Aftermath is excited to see the PCPA conference continue to grow in 2019. We’ll see you next June!
Aftermath is a proud supporter of law enforcement events like PCPA. We also host contests and sponsor grants like our annual K9 Grant in October, and the Why We Serve Service Grant Competition, going on right now. 6 officers will receive a grant to help fund a community group or charity of their choice.
