Aftermath Attends Annual Police and Security Expo

At the end of June, Aftermath joined over 5500 police chiefs, detectives, and other law enforcement professionals for the Police & Security Expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In its 32nd year, the Expo is the largest and longest-running Law Enforcement trade show in North America. Hosted by the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJACOP), the event now boasts over 750 exhibits, seminars, and demonstrations. This year also marked John Tyler’s 25th year in attendance as part of CSCU and Aftermath!

Joining John at the Aftermath booth was the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Tina Bao. Though the schedule packs a multitude of innovative ideas and exceptional training in two short days, attendees always save plenty of time for a tour around the vendor hall. “This expo is the highest quality trade event on the East Coast,” John stated. “The numbers of attendees we get at our booth means it is an incredible event for brand awareness, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and visitors make for a great show.”

Great Changes at this year’s Pse

PSE is also the biggest show in the region, and this year was no exception: “Attendance was the highest we’ve seen it,” reported John. “The attendees loved the new layout and attractions, including a 30-foot booth dedicated to the 32nd anniversary, as well as booths for Health and Fitness screenings, and live K9 and LE bicycle demonstrations.”

Other great changes included the set-up and organization of the expo itself. The building opened the food court, meaning attendees did not have to leave the building for lunch, allowing them more time to converse with the vendors during their breaks. “The aisles were also much wider this year,” Tina stated. “Attendees felt comfortable to move around or mingle; the additional space meant more quality time in front of the booth.”

One visitor to the booth was Chief Robert Garofalo of West Windsor, NJ, who extended a special thank you to Aftermath and to Tina for the donation/gift that Tina put together for their K9.

“We had a lot of chiefs, detectives, and other LE tell us how happy they are with the services we provide, and how much they appreciate our quick response and professionalism,” said John. “Aftermath is the premier cleanup service company in the industry. Many of those we spoke with have used the company for either in-house (jail cell/ squad car) cleanups, or have referred us to help a family in their community. All the feedback we received was positive, and the attendees asked for more business cards to have available for families when services are needed.”

excitement at the Aftermath booth

In addition to supplying business cards and trading stories, the Aftermath booth is well known to PSE attendees for great giveaways. This year, Tina brought a host of Aftermath items to hand out, including pens, notepads, air fresheners and chapstick. “The most popular items were our flashing rubber balls and hand sanitizers,” she said.

John and Tina also showed off the company’s newly designed “BLUELINE/AMS” shirts. “Everyone who checked them out was impressed with the quality and price, and they were pleased to hear about the associated donation Aftermath is making to law enforcement charities,” stated John.

Of course, no expo would be complete without at least one giveaway. Forensic Investigator and Detective Budd Dinelle of the Montgomery County Pennsylvania Detective Bureau (pictured) won a PPE Kit w/ 5.11 Tactical Bag.
