Aftermath has been a national leader in the crime scene cleanup industry for over 20 years. As “second responders,” we take pride in providing high quality service and complete customer satisfaction. We’re also very proud of the relationships we’ve formed with members of law enforcement.

Why You Serve

Working with families in times of crisis, we see first hand the care and concern you show your neighbors. We appreciate your dedication to the job, but we also recognize that off-duty, you contribute tirelessly to an array of community causes. From soup kitchens and clothing drives, mentoring programs, and education, from nationwide charities to local initiatives, we know your work is more than just the badge.

This summer, Aftermath wants to honor your contributions by making one of our own: we’re awarding a $5,000 service grant to help further the noteworthy charitable causes that matter most to you.

“First responders do so much, and we know their service is fueled by a love of community. As community partners, we want to help them do more. That’s what this grant is about,” said Doug Berto, Aftermath CEO. “Aftermath is proud to share the commitment to help families. They are why we serve.”

How to Enter the Why We Serve Service Grant Competition

To enter, simply create a short video (3-minute limit) to explain why you became an officer and how you would use the grant to positively impact your community organization or charity. Upload your video, share it with us via the entry form and use the hashtag #WhyWeServe. From the submissions we will select 4 finalists. The finalists will have an opportunity to share their full story with the nation, who will then vote to determine the winner. The grant recipient will then be awarded a $5,000 grant to be used for a charity or charitable cause of his or her choice.

The grant is open to all US law enforcement officers. The video submissions are open June 15th through July 15th, and Aftermath will announce four finalists, one from each region of the U.S., by July 21st. The grant recipient is determined by popular vote. To view all terms and conditions, please visit our rules page.
