(Ft. Myers, FL) – When a violent death occurs in a public space, such as the common area of an apartment complex, there is an added level of urgency to the cleanup. After a homicide occurred in the stairway of a Fort Myers apartment, property owners recognized the need for a professional service company and called in Aftermath. On arrival, Aftermath technicians noticed blood on the concrete walkway and door leading into the building. Inside, the tile floor was covered with a saturated fluid-removal chemical, and additional bio was visible on the either wall along the stairs. Further, the rubber stair treads were also affected. Technicians immediately got to work; they removed the treads from the stairs and focused on cleaning and sanitizing the space inside and out, so that the building remained safe and habitable for residents.
