(Baton Rouge, LA) – Early in the summer of 2014, an elderly woman passed away in her townhome in Baton Rouge. Because the majority of her immediate family lived out of state, almost a week went by before her body was discovered. Upon arrival on the scene, technicians took photos and documented the condition of the residence. In particular, they focused on the dining room, where the homeowner’s body was found. They also noted some bio in the bathroom. All affected carpeting was removed and the underlying floor treated until tests came back negative for bacteria. After the soiled areas were handled, employees helped the family remove and discard or relocate all personal belongings and furnishings. Once this step was complete, technicians were able to fully clean and sanitize the rest of the home, and eliminate all trace of odors so that the family could make an informed choice about the future of the property.
